I am so glad you are here!
When You Care for Everyone Else, Who Cares for You?
I am Larissa, a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Ohio. I am a contracted therapist here at Rivers and Roads Psychotherapy, LLC. I have advanced training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) and first responder mental health. My work focuses on helping individuals navigate high-impact transitions, acute stress, and chronic exposure to trauma.
I received my Master of Social Work from Indiana Wesleyan University. I wanted to be a dentist when I grew up, I never dreamed of the passion or skills I would have for helping individuals struggling with mental health issues.
I offer therapy tailored to those who live and serve under pressure:
Perinatal therapy for parents facing postpartum depression, anxiety, or birth trauma
First responder support for individuals working in fire, police, EMS, dispatch, or emergency medicine
Whether you’re holding a newborn in the quiet hours of the night or answering emergency calls that don’t let you pause, your role is demanding, emotional, and often isolating. You give your all — to patients, to partners, to the public, to your children — but that doesn't mean you're immune to stress, trauma, or burnout. My therapeutic style is relational, trauma-informed, and integrative. I work from a lens of attachment theory, somatic awareness, and nervous system regulation to help clients reconnect with themselves, manage emotional overwhelm, and build sustainable resilience.
You don’t have to carry it all alone. You show up for others every day — as a parent, partner, or protector. Lets Chat!
